Until now only listenable on the His Wounds vinyl press of A Plague In The Heart Of Light from back in August, this harrowing new presentation of that assault has been crafted and actualized by Fucking Your Creation Records to give terrifying visual accompaniment to the message of the song – hinted at in the snippet of lyrics above – and to spread the plague ever further. It was also one of the best demos to surface in recent memory, taking all the greatest elements of ancient glories and focusing them into a cruel new blade of pure hatred, used to hack and slash at the insidious religious leeches amongst us – so with everyone fervently hoping that 2021 will be a better year than 2020, what better way to kick that off than by bearing witness to a brand new official video for that demo’s LP-only bonus track, ‘Kingdom Of Eternal Blasphemy’?
We all know 2020 was an utterly horrendous year, but it wasn’t a total write off – one of the shining black triumphs to arrive screaming and slashing through the gloom was A Plague In The Heart of Light, the frankly fucking excellent debut demo of newcomers LEECHES.įorged by a triumvirate of members from the venomous Greek cults of Sørgelig, Dødsferd and Isolert, their first strike perfectly represented the diseased and chaotic state of the world and railed against the filth that causes it.
